Jonathan Arons

Jonathan Arons is a musician, dancer, actor, entertainer. He has been dancing since age five. He watched Dance Fever on Saturday Nights, then showed his parents what he learned, improvising from that earliest time. Between ages 7 and 15, he earned two black belts in different forms of karate, the youngest black belt in the history of his dojo. Jonathan Arons comes from a musical family. His mother was a music teacher. His father was a guitar and banjo player During this period he found a trombone left by one of his father's friends who played in the family Dixieland Jazz Band. He picked it up and hasn't put it down! Jonathan attended Teaneck High School in NJ. He was an athlete, specialized in Russian language and literature, & performed in all of the school musicals, as well as local parties and events. He then graduated from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music with a degree in Jazz Studies, & from Oberlin College with a degree in Biochemistry. After Oberlin he freelanced in New York City, developing his skills and joining Local 802 and SAG. In 2003 he appeared in Showtime in Harlem, leading to an appearance on Steve Harvey's Big Time. Jonathan's performance there's the most downloaded clip in the entirety of the WB Network over the last 12 months.
