The Thing Around Your Neck was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award, a New York Times Notable Book and a People and Black Issues Book Review Best Book of the Year, and won the Orange Broadband Prize. This novel is written with wit and compassion. A wonderful story-teller who explore with vivid touch such subjects as love and betrayal, this is another successful book of Nigerian Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie who shows the literary powers.
